The closed mind of someone who has a tendency to wreak havoc on everything; the skies are black and the puddles of desperation cry for someone to step into them. Empty eyes are met with empty stares from peers. I lean on the wall, hoping it won't ever let me go. It's cold hard surface gives me strength. There are no bodiless hands grasping for me anymore.

Rumi
I'm trying to get back to reading more books. I decided to start with some short reading, which might not turn out to be that easy - Rumi. Rumi says The way of love is not a subtle argument. The door there is devastation. Let's ignore the obvious fact that a movie like Valentines Day inspired my search for Rumi in my hometown libraries and concentrate on the fact the poetry is magical.
Since sweaters are everywhere and winter is a literal heap of knit clothes, it's all pure awesomeness. Back to winter, here's my overused sweater once again.

A Very Sandy Halloween
Bambi: Have you been making toast? (Note that Belle had been cooking earlier especially for a client...)
Belle: No, I just got in. Why? Do you want some?
Bambi: No, I can smell it.
Belle: Yeah, so can I. Think it's coming from outside.
(They head to the balcony to check it out)
Belle: Oh my God.

If I had put more time into it, I would probably look more like dear Sandy, but alas, this is what you get. I'm sad for my "naked" earlobes and dead-straight hair, though. I even had my pretty red shoes on. Just envision a fabulous and young John Travolta next to me and the picture would be perfect.
On another Sandy-licious note, I followed the hurricane madness a bit and couldn't help but think how the East Coasters would feel if they were the ones surprised by snow in October. Also a few years ago my neighbors boat started drifting in their yard because of the winds. And might I add, I live very far from any coast and my country is pretty uneventful when it comes to natural disasters. If you live by the sea, what do you expect during hurricane season?? Perfect beach weather and eternal sunshine?

Wrong angle, dude
I'm feeling supahhh-fly because it's fall break and that means no school for a whole week. I have been drinking in my new love - water - since Friday, which coincidentally was my annual Let's Party Cuz I'm Old festivity. Then I stayed home and tried to piece myself back together for two days (In bed, American soaps and chocolate. And candy. Lots and lots of candy) and today I'm feeling superfly once again (see above). Turns out I really like people. Who would have ever guessed??

Sneeze
Even though it's mini-tropica in the photos down below, let's be honest. It's freaking cold. Other than that I think I'm becoming awfully lazy and extremely carefree. It feels wonderful! Okay, but seriously, the last week was awesome. My french pen-pal (sort of) was here since Sunday the 7th and left on Saturday the 13th. It was nice and refreshing to be able to get some days off from school and practice my English a bit. It was also nice to get out more, eat in restaurants and have fun. It all made me realize how much I want to get out. Is it really that horrible that I want to get this last year in school over with? And by the way, I want to go back to Paris so bad!

Oh, really? You and what army?
I hope you can remember that part from Shrek. It's freaking ingenious. And the fact that I'm wearing green and an army skirt at the same time is just plain awesome. My plans for today are simple: I'm going to catch up on my TV shows, I have Glee and Revenge to watch and other episodes of different series to anticipate. I also have a wonderfully yummy brioche that I baked this morning and a strawberry-blackberry smoothie, plus Estonian author Õnnepalu's "Price" to immerse myself into. Here's to making Mondays marvelous.

Turn up the yellow to the max
I have really worn this skirt only once, at my brother's graduation earlier this summer in June and thought it would be good to wear it today on such a rainy day. It's so wonderfully sunny and reminds me of summer. Any other seniors out there? I wish you luck because I know I'll need it.

Brighter than the light of day
Sorry to start the post like this, but this weather is horrible. Rainymood is really a wonderful thing, but I hate this stuffed, endless white sky with not a piece of blue weather. On another, not much happier note, school starts so soon. I have barely a week and a half left until I'm drawn back to the zombie cycle. Luckily though, it's my last year of high school and from then on, I presume I'll get to be a more free person. Sympathize with me, dear fellow highschoolers! This outfit is so marvelously thrifty and self-made, I'm so proud of myself. Cheers to the last weeks of summer!

Suspension
This is a quite randomly thrown together outfit which captivates all the simplicity and casual feel that I've been trying to find all summer. It also depicts how much I should start wearing these suspenders more often, they basically go with anything mainly thanks to the fact they're black. I love how the suspenders complete the look. I wish I only had a cool hat to go with it all. Hope your weekend is amazing. xx
